Brown paper tied up with string is back! This year I took the phrase more literally and have gone for a simple two twine and tag design. I must say the part that took the longest was the gift tags, so I can only hope those aren't thrown aside too quickly!
Simplicity in gift wrapping can often be the most effective, particularly if you want to focus on the decorative bits of your design, and using recycled and recyclable brown paper is a fabulous way to achieve just that. I was tempted to go a step further and add in a sprig of festive (less prickly) holly or Christmas tree, but after the tags I decided to leave it there. The modern calligraphy was inspired by Oh Wonder.
My eyes quickly fell on a very useful pack of 10m 'Christmas Twine' from the pound shop, consisting of two balls of string and one candy cane inspired.
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy Crafty New Year!
