I recently moved to a new flat! Having a whole space to myself (and boyfriend) away from my childhood home for the first time (besides from the varying levels of adequate rooms at university...) has been an amazing opportunity to decorate to my taste. The flat was in a very decent state on arrival, but we spent a week painting every room to a suit a more homely colour palette. Over the next few months we added bits of furniture here and small touches there, and I am extremely lucky to live with someone who has done not only basic bits of DIY but also the tiling in the kitchen and the laminate flooring in the bathroom and en-suite! Here are a few snaps of the new home, which has of course been added to since as it's hard to resist things in home stores now as a home owner...!
